How to capture a digital twin with Voxelo · UG3D® Technology
Place your product at a height and in a space where you can walk around it easily. A table, plinth or box works well. The product must remain completely still throughout the capture.
Use even, soft (diffused) light that eliminates harsh shadows and bright hotspots. Overcast natural daylight is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight, which creates strong shadows that confuse the model.
A 4K camera — even a modern mobile phone — will get great results. Keep the product in focus throughout and record. Lock your exposure and white balance if possible to ensure consistency.
Walk smoothly around the product — avoid jerky or fast movements. Aim for approximately 40 seconds for each loop. Think slow, deliberate, continuous motion.
Record your product comprehensively with 3 or 4 loops at different heights. Capture from above (a top-down pass) to ensure all surfaces are covered. More coverage = richer detail.
Upload your video(s) to Voxelo.ai, let it do its magic, and a production-ready 3D model will be ready to publish in approximately 2 hours. You'll receive a notification when it's complete.
Your video becomes a production-ready 3D digital twin in approximately two hours. From that single asset, create everything you need.
Embed live 3D directly into your product pages. Give buyers the confidence to purchase — and the tools to visualise your product in their own space with AR.
