Same photoreal quality either way. Most people never need the app.
Straight from
your product page.
AR is native to every Voxelo 3D twin. One toggle publishes it, and shoppers reach it on any major phone or tablet with nothing to install. This is a live 3D twin, not a video.
- One toggle in the platform - no code, no 3D pipeline, no developer
- Desktop shows a QR code, mobile goes straight into the room
- Works on any major phone or tablet, nothing to install
Rotate it, then place it in your own room.
Open any splat
you already hold.
For capture pros and 3D teams. Paste a link or load a file and see it at true size. No account, no upload, nothing sent to us.
- SOG, SPZ, PLY and SPLAT read as they are, with no conversion step
- Load from a Voxelo link, any https URL, or straight off iCloud Drive
- Object mode for judging finish, and a shelf that keeps what you opened

Most AR shows a model.
This is the product.
Conventional AR hands you a mesh: an approximated surface, wrapped in a texture, lit by a guess. A splat is a record of what the camera saw.
The materials that break meshes
Suede, knitted mesh uppers, stitching, weave, worn and weathered surfaces. Splats hold the texture and the wear, because nobody had to model them.
Captured, not generated
Every pixel traces to a real product in front of a real camera. Nothing invented, nothing to disclaim.
Lit by the room you are in
Brightness and colour are read from around you. With LiDAR, real surfaces hide it properly.
Capture a 3D twin from a simple video to create your own AR experience.

the bonnet.
Splats end to end
No mesh is ever reconstructed, so fibre direction, soft sheen and fine surface relief survive instead of flattening into a texture.
Parsed natively
SOG, SPZ, PLY and SPLAT read as they are. No transcode, which is where photorealism usually dies.
Anchor re-read every frame
Not a one-shot raycast. The floor plane is re-evaluated continuously, so the product keeps its spot as you walk.
Nothing leaves the device
Files are parsed locally. No upload, no account, no telemetry on what you opened.
- LiDAR is optional. It adds occlusion, and everything else works without it.
- A guided capture app, with live feedback on coverage and lighting, follows shortly.
AR is one of the things
a Voxelo account gives you.
One capture, one 3D twin, and the rest comes off the back of it. It is free to try.
Interactive 3D
A photoreal 3D twin your shoppers can rotate and zoom on the product page, 4-17MB, on any device.
Place-in-space AR
Native to every 3D twin. One toggle, a QR code on desktop, two clicks on mobile.
AI product imagery
Studio-quality product shots generated from the same 3D twin, with no second photoshoot.
AI lifestyle imagery
On-brand lifestyle scenes for campaigns and PDPs, with backgrounds, models, colours and context you control.
Annotated 3D
Tap-to-explore hotspots on materials, features and dimensions, editable any time.
Product attributes

A free no-code Shopify app, and a one-line embed for Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce and BigCommerce.
Hosting and viewer
3D hosting and the viewer are included, so there is nothing else to stand up.
Raw file export

The short
answers.
Do I need a paid account to use AR?
No. Sign up and use the 10,000 free credits to create up to 10 3D twins and try AR on your own products. AR is included with every Voxelo account at no extra cost. Or please download the free, standalone iOS app for use with your own 3DGS / gaussian splat files.
Can I add 3D and AR to my Shopify product pages?
Yes. Voxelo has a free no-code Shopify app, and a one-line embed for Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce and BigCommerce, so a 3D twin and its AR experience drop straight into an existing product detail page. Simply toggle AR on or off for each product at no charge.
Do my customers need the app to see my products in AR?
No. Place-in-space AR is native to every Voxelo 3D twin and runs in the browser, so your customers open it straight from your product page on any major phone or tablet with nothing to install.
How does a shopper open AR from a desktop product page?
Turning AR on for a 3D twin puts a QR code on the desktop product page, which the shopper scans to open the product in AR on their own phone. On mobile it is a couple of clicks straight from the page.
What file formats does Voxelo AR open?
Voxelo AR opens Gaussian splat files in SOG, SPZ, PLY and SPLAT formats, read exactly as they are with no conversion and no upload.
Why does it look more real than other product AR?
Most product AR displays a mesh, which is an approximated surface wrapped in a texture, while Voxelo AR displays a Gaussian splat captured from the real product, so the material response and fine detail of the original are preserved rather than modelled.
Does Voxelo AR work on an iPhone without LiDAR?
Yes. LiDAR is optional. Upload a high fidelity video following Voxelo's tips and tricks and you'll have your own 3D twin in around an hour. See how to here.
